This one has a fun story behind the name. La Avi is named after a type of wasp that Honduran farmers use for natural pest control against the coffee borer beetle. Small holder farmers, working between 1400 and 2000 meters, growing a mix of Catuai, Bourbon, Lempira, Pacas, and IHCAFE 90.

Every farmer's harvest gets graded and cupped on its own merit, then farmers get paid a premium based on how their coffee scores. The best lots go out as single microlots. This one is a step below that, which just means it's a blend of really solid, really consistent lots from farmers who know what they're doing. Organic certified, washed process.

It's the kind of coffee that doesn't need a spotlight to be good. Reliable, clean, easy to love. Drink it however you want, iced, drip, French press, doesn't matter. No rules required.
